On occasion I find myself spending a few days in Cottage Grove, and on those occasions, the Koffee Kup is my breakfast joint of choice. It's a ways off the freeway, so the place seems to be mostly frequented by local folks, which is usually a good sign. There is absolutely nothing fancy about the Koffee Kup. It's a mom and pop style coffee shop with homey décor, reasonable prices and a friendly staff. The menu is typical coffee shop all the way and the portions are fair for the price. The food? Well, it's certainly a big step up from Denny's, and several steps above the other coffee shop in town, the Vintage Inn (bad juju!). I think the main reason I keep going back to the Koffee Kup is their consistency. I know that I'll be served a decent meal prepared as I request. For breakfast on the road, what more can you ask for?

Food is always good enough. Kacy is the best employee. The older lady is not quite as friendly and tends to run around frantically which is less than calming while we eat. She also seems to have an attitude. Kitchen gets backed up sometimes but that happens anywhere. One of the acceptable options that isn't fast food here in town.

Poor quality food. Cooked well, but you can't polish a turd. Overpriced and typically poor service. If the regulars ever figure out that Cottage Grove now has decent restaurant options, they'll be doomed.

I went here for a birthday breakfast before heading off to work. Service was friendly, food was great. I was all around pleased with the divey atmosphere. It felt like most of the people there were regulars which is always a good sign at a diner style place. All in all I was pleased with the service price and food quality. I will go back for sure. It's a nice little stop off if you are in the area.

Awful. They used to be pretty good. Service is usually good. They skimp on portions, and that's why they won't get a lot of return business. Koffee Kup owner, you do realize don't you that you can write off food expense on taxes right? There's no reason to not serve big portions, it's a win win for both you and your customers, this place needs new ownership or something. Also, when that food is served make sure it's not cold and extra greasy okay?

The food is pretty darn good, and there is always excellent service. I normally order from the breakfast menu, and their chicken fried steak is soooo yum.

Food was okay. I asked for sweet tea and the lady was sarcastic with me about it. I went ahead with a Pepsi, she brought it to me and said there's some sugar there if you want to add it to your Pepsi. Burnt toast and eggs. Unattentive waitress, dirty coffee cup with lipstick still on it.... Not going back again.

My husband and I go to the "Kup" when we aren't at Buster's on main. We like the Kup because they have Nita (sp) and the menu is pretty solid. Nothing too fancy and you can tell by the "older" locals that we see there every time, that the food and prices are very good. Service is great and they keep your drinks filled. Portions are really good and the food is yummy! They even have fried pickles and sweet potato fries! The chicken fried steak bacon burger is one that should be shared because to try to eat it by your self is crazy! Nita is great and so are the rest of the staff! I have never felt that the food is over priced or lacking in flavor and the parking is very assessable.

I had breakfast at this cozy little coffee shop one rainy morning. The restaurant is off the beaten path and near a goodwill. It's your typical run-of-the-mill diner with clean counter tops and efficient staff. The menu is two pages with no vegan and little vegetarian options. I ordered the special which was a pulled pork omelette with coffee, wheat toast, and home fries. The coffee was nothing special, neither the home fries. The toast was toasted correctly but used fake butter spread :(... The omelette itself was really good but I don't think the whole meal was worth $10.55.

Nasty and loud, low quality food and lots of kids, maybe it's just me or the ketchup on the walls but I just can't can eat here.

Great service, great speed and just what I needed to continue a long drive back to San Francisco. 2 muffins and 2 lattes for only $7? What a deal!

Great diner food. Not the kind of place that will blow your hair back, but if you enjoy chicken fried steak...
